What Is That Noise? It’s Your Water Heater!

However, there are noises that you absolutely should not hear from your water heater. Noises You Don’t Want to Hear From Your Water Heater

  • Kettling: last but not least we want to address kettling. Kettling refers to a high pitch whistle that your water heater may make when heating up water for your home. It may even sound like your water heater is going to burst open when you hear this noise but rest assured this won’t happen. Kettling is another indicator of major sedimentary buildup in your system that needs to be flushed out.
